Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and actor Farhan Akhtar’s request for exemption of entertainment tax, on the sale of tickets, has been accepted by the Maharashtra government. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Bio-epic on Legendary sportsman Milkha Singh, starrer Farhan Akhtar, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, has got appreciation from audiences and critics.
But that’s not all; Maharastra Government also appreciated this movie in form of granting tax exemption status. The tax exemption has been granted as the film’s main objective was to promote sports among youths.
The government granted the exemption under section 6 (3) of the Maharashtra Entertainment Duty Act 1923 to the film which is valid for 6 months.
