CA IPC May 2016 Examination Result likely to be declared on 2nd August, 2016

The result of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination held in May, 2016 is likely to be declared on Tuesday, the 2nd August, 2016 around 4.00 P.M. and the same as well as the merit list (candidates securing a minimum of 55% and above marks and upto the maximum of 50th Rank on all India basis will be available on the following website: 

                                        http://www.icai.nic.in

Arrangements have also been made for the students of Intermediate (IPC) Examination desirous of having results on their e-mail addresses to register their requests at the above website, i.e., http://www.icai.nic.in from 27th July, 2016. All those registering their requests will be provided their results through e-mail on the e-mail addresses registered as above immediately after the declaration of the result. 

In addition to above, it may be noted that for accessing the result at the above website i.e. http://www.icai.nic.in the candidate shall have to enter his registration no. or PIN no. along with his roll number. 

Further facilities have been made for candidates of Intermediate (IPC) Examination held in May, 2016 desirous of knowing their results with marks on SMS. The service will be available through India Times. 

For getting results through SMS candidates should type: 

CAINTER(Space)XXXXXX (where XXXXXX is the six digit Intermediate (IPC) Examination roll number of the candidate)

CA FINAL and IPCC November 2016 Examination Dates Announced

ICAI has announced the date sheet for CA IPC & CA Final for upcoming November 2016 Exams on 20th July 2016. CA IPC Exam will begin from 2nd  and will end on 15th  November 2016 and CA final Exam will begin on 1st  and ending on 16th November 2016.

The date sheet has been enclosed for your reference.

INTERMEDIATE (IPC) EXAMINATION

Group-I: 2nd, 4th, 6th & 8th November 2016

Group-II: 10th, 12th & 15th November 2016

(Afternoon Session: 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM) (IST)

FINAL EXAMINATION

Group -I: 1st, 3rd, 5th &  7th November 2016

Group -II: 9th, 11th, 13th  & 16th November 2016

(Afternoon Session: 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM) (IST)

Exam Fees:

INTEGRATED PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE (IPC)

For Both the Groups: Rs. 1900/-

For one Group:         Rs. 1200/-

FINAL EXAMINATION

For Both the Groups Rs. 2700/-

For one of the Groups Rs. 1500/-

Cost of Purchasing form is Rs. 1000. However the fees of Rs. 1000 for purchasing the Exam form need not be paid in case the students opts for submitting the Exam form online. Applications for admission to these examinations are required to be made either online at http://icaiexam.icai.org 

The forms shall also be made available in the Regional and Branch Offices of the Institute and can be obtained there from on cash payment on or from 5th August, 2016.

Applications together with the prescribed fee by Demand Draft of any Scheduled Bank may be sent so as to reach the Additional Secretary (Examinations) at New Delhi not later than 26th August, 2016. However, applications will also be received at Delhi Office after 26th August, 2013 and upto 2nd September, 2013 with late fee of 600/-. Applications for the students’ examinations only duly filled in will also be received by hand delivery at the office of Institute at New Delhi and at the Decentralised Offices of the Institute at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kanpur, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Nagpur, Pune, Surat, Thane & Vadodara upto 2nd September, 2016. Candidates residing in these cities are advised to take advantage of this facility. Applications received after 2nd September, 2016 shall not be entertained under any circumstances.

ICAI Doubled Stipend for Articled Assistants with Immediate Effect

In a latest move to serve the cause of our students, the Institute has decided with immediate effect (i.e. 23 January 2015) to double the stipend rates for each of the year payable to the articled assistants pursuing Chartered Accountancy Course. New Subjects added in CA Course from 2016

ICAI has released the draft of the New Course and has added new subjects in the CA Curriculum. Brief Highlights of the same are as follows:-

Changes in CA Foundation

1. Name changed from CPT to CA Foundation
2. Duration increased to 9 months

Changes in CA Intermediate

1. Cost Accounting and Financial Management to be 2 different subjects
2. Duration of Intermediate Course increased from 9 months to 12 months
3. Subject Removed:- Information Technology and Strategic Management

Changes in CA Final

1. New subject introduced: Capital Markets and Financial Services
2. Subject Removed: Information System and Control Audit
3. Eligibility to appear for CA Final only after completion of full period of Articleship

There are several other changes as well which are proposed to be introduced in CA Course to be introduced next year.

Launch of 100 Hours Advanced ITT Course. - (17-12-2014)

As per Regulation 29(c)(iv) of the Chartered Accountants Regulation 1988, students who have registered for Practical Training on or after August 1st, 2012 were required to complete Advanced IT Training before admission to the Final Examination. However, the Council of the Institute has decided to defer the implementation date of Regulation 29(c)(iv) from August 1st, 2012 to February 1st, 2013. Accordingly, 100 Hours Advanced ITT course will now be applicable to those students who have registered for Practical Training on or after February 1st, 2013 but before appearing in the Final Examination in terms of Regulation 29(c)(iv) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988. Hence all such students who commenced their Practical Training on or after February 1, 2013 and are eligible to appear in November, 2015 Examination are advised to complete the Advanced ITT well in advance before appearing in the Final Examination so as to avoid any hardship at a later date.

The fee for the Advanced ITT has been fixed at Rs. 5,000 per student which shall be charged by the concerned branch. The duration of the batches will be 4/6 hours per day. As per the Regulations, the time spent by the students for undergoing 100 Hours of Advanced ITT will be treated as a part of the training as period actually served under articles.

The students are advised to enquire the concerned Decentralised Office or the branch of the ICAI for registration to batches of 100 Hours Advanced ITT Course.

Online Registration Portal for GMCS, ITT and Orientation Programme at All India Basis. - (17-12-2014)

The Board of Studies and ITT Section of IT Directorate have jointly developed an Online Registration Portal for ITT, Orientation Programme and GMCS Courses to be organized on All India Basis. The Portal provides online facility for Students' Registration, Faculty Registration, Batch Launching, Faculty feedback, Batch Allocation, Certificate and Report generation by POUs etc. In order to acquaint students regarding the functionalities of online Portal, the Institute has developed a comprehensive USER MANUAL explaining step- by- step process for the use of Online Portal and to provide guidance to the end-users i.e. Students.
