ICAI has released the draft of the New Course and has added new subjects in the CA Curriculum. Brief Highlights of the same are as follows:-
Changes in CA Foundation
- Name changed from CPT to CA Foundation
- Duration increased to 9 months
Changes in CA Intermediate
- Cost Accounting and Financial Management to be 2 different subjects
- Duration of Intermediate Course increased from 9 months to 12 months
- Subject Removed:- Information Technology and Strategic Management
Changes in CA Final
- New subject introduced: Capital Markets and Financial Services
- Subject Removed: Information System and Control Audit
- Eligibility to appear for CA Final only after completion of full period of Articleship
There are several other changes as well which are proposed to be introduced in CA Course to be introduced next year.
