Final examination- November 2011 Application Form

It is seen that Point 1.2(iv) of the eligibility criteria on Page no 1 of the Final examination form for November 2011 contains an error which has crept in inadvertently, through oversight:

The said Point no 1.2(iv), as corrected, be read as follows:

“You must be in service as on 1st November 2011 and serving the last six months of training including excess leave, if any, and due to complete 3 ½ years on or before 30th April 2012 ( PCC students) ( Certificate of service to this effect should be sent to Additional Secretary (Exam) by 30th November 2011)”

However, the relevant condition( applicable to PCC candidates) as appearing at Point No 6 (III) on Page 6 of the “Notes for information and guidance of applicants” and Point No 7 of the OMR application form is appearing correctly.

Inconvenience, if any, caused to students in this regard is deeply regretted.

Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE)/Final examination- November 2011 Application Form

IPCE/Final examination application forms for November 2011 examination provide for filling in passing details of PEE II/ PCE/IPCE examinations. Such details include the date/month/year and roll number of the earlier examinations passed.

It is noted that the relevant portion/s of the application form provide for five boxes/circles only whereas there is a possibility that some of the students‘ roll number may contain more than 5 digits.

It is hereby clarified that such candidates are requested to fill up only the last 5 digits of their roll number and leave out the first digit.

For example, if a student’s roll number is 172536, he should fill up only the digits 72536 leaving the first digit, i.e. 1, ( the first digit from the left)

Inconvenience, if any, caused to students in this regard is deeply regretted.

Don’t worry, Due Date of Filing Return for Asst Yr. 2011-12 is not 31st July But 1st August !

July 31st is Sunday and the income tax department has announced for special arrangement for receiving the returns. However, the department has not notified it as the working day. In essence , while the department is making endeavor to get the returns from , you , still in the income tax department , it is public holiday.
This is very common anxiety for all person who did not file Return till last date and last date happens to be a holiday. Fortunately , there is laws under General Clauses Act 1897 ,which clears the confusion. As per Section 10 of the said Act , if last day happens to be a day on which government office or court happens to be closed, next day on which the office opens is the last date.

XBRL Filing date extended to 30/11/2011 !

A sigh of relief for the companies who are required to file their Balance sheet and Profit and Loss account in XBRL mode as the Ministry of Corporate Affairs vide its general circular No. 57/2011 dated 28/7/2011 has extended the due date of filing without any additional fees up to 30-11-2011 or within 60 days of their due date, whichever is later.
Another relief for the companies provided by the same circular is that the accounts that are required to be filed in XBRL mode can be verified and certified by the authorized signatory of the company. Earlier vide general circular No. 43/2011, the statutory auditor of the company was to certify the correctness of the financial statements to be filed in XBRL mode. After this circular the verification and certification of the XBRL document of financial statements on the e-forms would continue to be done by authorized signatory of the company as well as professional like Chartered Accountant or Company Secretary or Cost Accountant in whole time practice.
Below is the circular for ready reference –
